I-WORLD Hypertension Day igujwa njalo ngonyaka ngomhla ka-17 May, ngenhloso yokuqwashisa abantu ngesifo somfutho wegazi ophakeme, nokukhuthaza ukuhlolwa nokulawulwa kwaso.

Lesi sifo sibizwa ngokuthi, “sibulala buthule” ngoba singaba khona emzimbeni ngaphandle kwezimpawu ezicacile, kodwa siqhubeke silimaze umzimba kancane kancane.

Umfutho wegazi ophakeme noma ophezulu, wenzeka lapho igazi licindezela kakhulu ezindongeni zemithambo yegazi isikhathi eside.

Lokhu kungenza umonakalo enhliziyweni, ebuchosheni nasezinsweni.

Uma kungelashwa, kungaholela ezinkingeni ezinkulu ezifana nesifo senhliziyo, isifo sohlangothi nokwehluleka kwezinso ukusebenza ngendlela okuyiyo.

Abantu abaningi baphila nalesi sifo bengazi, ngoba kasibonisi izimpawu ezisheshayo. Yingakho kubalulekile ukuthi kube nezinsuku zokuqwashisa abantu ukuze bakhuthazwe ukuthi bahlolwe njalo, futhi bathole usizo kusenesikhathi.

ENingizimu Afrika, ukusetshenziswa kukasawoti omningi ekudleni, ukungazivocavoci, ukubhema, ukuphuza utshwala ngokweqile nokuba nengcindezi, kunomthelela omkhulu ekwandeni kwalesi sifo.

Izinto ezandisa amathuba okuba umuntu abe nomfutho wegazi ophakeme, zihlanganisa ukudla okungenampilo, ukunganyakazisi umzimba, ukukhuluphala, umlando womndeni onalesi sifo nokunye.

Ukwenza izinguquko ezincane empilweni yansuku zonke  njengokuzivocavoca, kungawenza umehluko.

Lokhu kubandakanya ukudla izithelo nemifino njalo, ukunciphisa usawoti ekudleni, ukuzivocavoca njalo, ukugcina isisindo esifanele, ukugwema ukubhema nokunciphisa utshwala, kanjalo nokufunda ukulawula ingcindezi ngendlela enempilo.

Kwezinye izimo abantu badinga nemithi enqunywe ngodokotela ukuze kugcinwe umfutho wegazi usezingeni elifanele.

Kubalulekile kakhulu ukuthi umuntu ahlole umfutho wegazi njalo, ngoba kungaba nesifo esikhona ngaphandle kokuthi umuntu asizwe noma abone izimpawu zaso.

Lo mkhankaso ukhumbuza abantu ukuthi ukunakekela impilo kuqala ngokuzazi.

Ukuthola lesi sifo kusenesikhathi kungasindisa impilo yakho, futhi kunciphise izingozi ezinkulu esikhathini esizayo.
